The home of two local officeholders will go up for auction next week.

The home of District 1 Lubbock City Councilman Victor Hernandez and Lubbock County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Aurora Chaides-Hernandez is scheduled to go up for auction on August 6th at the Lubbock County Courthouse, according to Lubbock County Foreclosure Reports.

The nearly-4,100 square foot home, located at 2601 Valley View Drive in the Lubbock Country Club area, Is valued by the Lubbock Central Appraisal District at just under $326,500.

Aurora Chaides-Hernandez sued Bank of America in late 2011 to stop the foreclosure of the home using her husband, Victor, who is also an attorney, to represent her. They lost the suit.

The auction runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on August 6th, and the earliest time of sale for the home is 1 p.m.

Victor Hernandez also faces a recall election for his position on the Lubbock City Council on November 5th.
