High Wind Warning In Effect for Friday Afternoon
A High Wind Warning has been issued this afternoon for the central and western portions of the South Plains, including Lubbock and Hale counties. The High Wind Warning is in effect from 2p-6p.
Winds will be out of the southwest at a sustained 35-40 mph and gusts of up to 60 mph. Visibility could be reduced to as low as a 1/4 mile because of blowing dust.
