The City of Lubbock Health Department will observe a global health initiative for infants next week.

National Infant Immunization Week will be observed April 20th through the 27th with three immunization clinics in the Hub City starting on Monday and ending on Wednesday.

National Infant Immunization Week is a joint observance with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization/Pan America Health Organization.

The annual campaign aims to highlight the need for routine and timely vaccinations for infants and children throughout the world to prevent curable diseases.

All children must meet Texas Department of State Health Services guidelines to receive state supplied vaccines. Immunization records are required at the time of the immunization request.
