Wednesday on Lubbock's First News, Harvey Hilderbran talked about his candidacy for the position of Texas Comptroller.

Hilderbran believes he has the greatest passion for the position. He has studied the position to determine how it can be fixed and improved. He listed points in his proposed tax payer bill of rights. Through this, he will focus on equalizing interest rates, changing statutes of limitations, tax disputes and "spokes of audits" in order to treat tax payers better. He said, "I propose how to do better on customer service. We can be more efficient with tax payer money. We can get more value on the dollars we spend."
