Harry Kazianis, Director of Defense Studies at the Center for the National Interest, joined The Chad Hasty Show on Wednesday to talk about the upcoming meeting between Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Kazianis and Hasty discussed the state of negotiations surrounding North Korea's nuclear weapons and the progress being made, not only between the United States and North Korea, but between North and South Korea, which have been at a bitter standoff under the threat of renewed military action for decades.

Kazianis also talked about President Donald J. Trump's successes in the negotiating process, where previous presidents have made little to none, and the very small amount of credit being given to his progres by the media and political opponents.

While describing the back and forth moves and ongoing negotiations between the United States, North Korea and their leaders, Kazianis said, "The ball now is in Kim Jon-un's court."
