Texas Tech

A scare over a gun sighting at Texas Tech led to some confusion Tuesday morning.

Around 9 a.m., a report was made to Texas Tech Police regarding a person carrying a rifle into the construction area of the former Business Administration building.

Texas Tech police and the Lubbock Police Department searched the area and found the person. Police determined that the person was carrying an ROTC dummy rifle. The ROTC offices are located in the former BA building, according to a press release from the University.

Texas Tech Police say they will investigate, but campus activities have returned to normal.
