The Guadalupe Neighborhood Association in Lubbock will be holding a clean up day later this month.

The group will hold their “Fall Clean Up of the Arroyo”, which is Lubbock’s Canyon Lake Three on Saturday, October 26th from 8 a.m. until noon.

They will meet at 209 North Avenue L near Cesar E. Chavez Drive.

In the past five years, volunteers have come together to help improve the appearance of the neighborhood and El Arroyo on more than 20 occasions, including trimming trees, removing concrete slabs and rebar dumped in the Arroyo following the May 1970 tornado, and cleaning up debris and trash out of the lake area.

Attendees are asked to bring work gloves if possible and any type of gardening tool that might be needed. The invitation is extended to anyone in the city interested in helping clean up the area.
