On the Monday edition of the Chad Hasty Show Matt Mackowiak, GOP strategist and co-founder of MustReadTexas.com, talked with guest hosts Carl Tepper and Randy Sanders about the latest national and state-wide issues.

Tonight is the final presidential debate between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama, and the topic will be foreign policy. Mackowiak said that topics such as Iran, Afghanistan, China and the situation in Benghazi will be on the docket. However, he feels both candidates would still love to try and bring up some of the more domestic issues.

"I think Romney would obviously love to direct it back to the economy, and sometimes you can say 'Well, our foreign policy is based on our economic strengths and the world...' so maybe he'll try to swing it back. but, this is really going to be focused on foreign policy."

Looking at the polls, Mackowiak speculated that Romney would probably take the popular vote. As for the electoral vote, Obama has maintained a strong lead, but that lead is starting to wane a bit thanks to Romney's performances in the debates. Mackowiak also added that Ohio, in particular, will be a crucial state for the Romney campaign, and that winning Ohio could win Romney the election.
