With the significant severe weather we’ve faced here on the South Plains and across the state, it’s vital to know that Texas Game Wardens are ready and prepared to serve, assist and rescue.

Their recent press release states that:

Texas game wardens receive this highly skilled and technical training to better serve their communities and assist other local agencies. Specialized swift water equipment including the rescue boat pictured are essential to life saving efforts.

These pictures were taken at the training site near Lake Bridgeport Texas.

Texas Game Wardens have been on the job rescuing and responding to major disasters in Texas since 1895. The urgent calls they respond to include floods, tornadoes, and wildfires.

You can learn more about the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department on their website.
