Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Gary Boren (R), candidate for judge of the Lubbock County Commissioners Court, joined Chad in the KFYO studio to talk about his campaign and issues he sees as most important to Lubbock County.

Boren and Hasty discussed many topics including property taxes and law enforcement.

During the discussion about taxes Boren said,

The elected officials are the one that set the tax rate. They can fix that, and they choose not to because they like the free money. The eight percent more each year they're getting. You get new construction, that means new growth that comes into a community. You get the eight percent. You get sales tax increases. Don't skin working families. They got kids in school...You start taking taking all this money from them, extra money, I don't think that's right.
