Tonight, at the monthly meeting of the Frenship ISD Board of Trustees, board member Dr. Jerry McCabe (pictured) tendered his resignation effective immediately.

Frenship ISD officials stated McCabe's resignation was due to a pending move of his residence outside of Frenship ISD.

Dr. McCabe served on the Frenship ISD School Board since May 2005.

To fill the the vacancy, members of the board nominated and approved Kyle Rogers to serve the remaining time of McCabe's term in office.

Rogers is employed at Gandy's Dairies in Lubbock and is organization’s Key Account Manager. His wife Dana is a 1st Grade Teacher at Frenship’s North Ridge Elementary. The Rogers have two daughters; Lauren, a 9th Grader at Frenship High School, and Lynsey, a 4th Grader at North Ridge.

Rogers is a 1985 graduate of Amarillo Tascosa High School and a 1991 graduate of Texas Tech University. He currently serves on the South Plains Food Bank Board of Directors and is a member of the College Baseball Hall of Fame Board.
