A portion of the Marsha Sharp Freeway will close for two nights due to striping work.

The MSF direct connector to southbound West Loop 289 will close on Sunday, September 8th and Monday, September 9th during the nighttime hours.

The freeway flyover will close at 7 p.m. both nights to allow crews to safely restripe the roadway.

The flyover is expected to reopen to traffic by 7:30 a.m. Monday morning. The Monday evening closure is expected to only last two to three hours, according to TxDOT.

Motorists will be detoured via the MSF frontage roads to connect with southbound West Loop 289.
