A one vehicle rollover accident in Lubbock injured four people over the weekend.

According to police, the accident occurred around 10:15 p.m. Saturday night, in the area of I-27 and South Loop 289. Investigators reportedly closed the crash scene for several hours, forcing traffic to detour around the area.

KAMC News reports that a vehicle was attempting to pass another vehicle while traveling sound on Interstate 27, when it veered from the far west lane to the far east lane of traffic.

The driver then over-corrected and rolled several times. Two of the four occupants were ejected from the vehicle as it rolled and all four occupants were transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

Police have not identified the victims and it's unclear what caused the accident.
