Former Slaton Police Officer Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography

A former Slaton Police Officer plead guilty to receiving child pornography today in a Lubbock Court.

50-year-old Richard Lee Lewis pleaded guilty to the count during his trial today, where evidence was shown that he used peer-to-peer file-sharing programs to download the pornographic images to his computer. His home was searched by Federal Agents back in May of this year. He faces between 5 and 20 years in prison and a quarter of a million dollars. He could also be sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release.
