Tuesday, former NFL head coach and the architect of the vaunted Chicago Bears “46” defense, Buddy Ryan passed away at 82.

Ryan was once the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals compiling a 55-55-1 record and won two Super Bowl’s as an assistant with the New York Jets and Chicago Bears.

Ryan’s two sons, Rex and Rob are the current head coach and defensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills.
