Former 911 Supervisor Sentenced in Murder of Officer Wife
A longview man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing his wife.
Harry Chester Goodan, a 42-year-old man pled guilty to murder in a plea deal for the December 2010 shooting of his wife, Officer Jamie Ellyn Goodan.
The murder was a domestic dispute that turned deadly while Jamie Goodan was off duty and the two were arguing in their Longview home. After fatally shooting his wife Harry Goodman summoned the police.
According to the investigators the couple was in the midst of marital troubles when the arguments that lead to the slaying took place.
Harry Goodan had worked for Longview’s 911 emergency department as an emergency calls supervisor until he was arrested for the murder.
