Thursday on Lubbock's First News, Jeff Allen, owner of Flat 12 Gallery in Lubbock and a star of CNBC's The Car Chasers, along with Brett Parker, outside salesperson of Lubbock Auto Auction, spoke about the business of exotic cars and the upcoming Collector Car Show and Auction.

The Car Chasers features the process of buying and selling of exotic cars. The show just completed its second season. They recently acquired means to broadcast on international television stations, bringing them even more popularity than they receive in the U.S. In addition to his work on this show, Allen owns the Flat 12 Car Gallery, which has teamed up with Lubbock Auto Auction to host the upcoming car show auction.

On May 17, Lubbock Auto Auction will host the Flatland Collector Car Show Auction that is open to the public. Entry is $5 per person or kids under 12 years get in free. There are currently 92 cars consigned for the show, many from New Mexico and Midland/Odessa. Allen said, "I'm excited because I know that I always thought Lubbock was this big underground car town and I thought it was neat to bring a venue here."
