The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for both Lubbock and Hockley Counties until 2 p.m. this afternoon.

According to Ron Roberts, very heavy rain has moved over the city of Lubbock resulting in flooding conditions.

More than 3 inches has fallen in Shallowater and more than 2 inches has fallen at 82nd St. and Quaker Ave. Travel is not advised. It could take a couple hours for streets to return to normal, according to Ron Roberts.
