Five people were arrested Wednesday night and in the early morning hours Thursday for compelling prostitution and human trafficking.

Lubbock Police conducted an online prostitution sting last night at the Red Roof Inn at 6624 I-27 at 11:30 Wednesday night.

During the arrest officers discovered a juvenile female was being used as a prostitute. Later into the early morning hours today another sting was set up at the motel around 2:45 a.m. and more arrests were made and another juvenile female was discovered to be used for prostitution was taken into custody.

The five arrested all face charges of compelling prostitution, human trafficking, and aggravated promotion of prostitution.

Those arrested in the first sting are 19-year old April Ramirez, 24-year old Gregori Arrambide, and 20-year old Samantha Arrambide.

The other two arrested in the second sting are 21-year old Leah King and 29-year old Abel Reyna, Jr.

The investigation is still ongoing.
