First United Methodist Church of Lubbock will present a patriotic vesper concert Thursday evening in honor of Independence Day.

The “Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory” concert will feature patriotic favorites as performed by the FUMC combined choirs, and the Westwinds Brass Band.

Following the concert, the church will provide free hot dogs and ice cream to the attendees, and childcare is available during the performance.

The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the FUMC sanctuary, located at 1411 Broadway Avenue.

FUMC Music Director Christopher Betts discussed some of the highlights of the concert with KFYO.
