Firefighters Currently Battling Blaze in Southwest Lubbock County

Fire crews are currently battling a blaze outside the City of Lubbock. The fire is in a agricultural field 1/2 mile West of Frankford Avenue and just south of Farm to Market Road 1585.

EMS is on the scene with multiple firefighters fighting the fire, which is mostly contained as 2:35pm. No word yet on any injuries or what started the blaze in the first place.

Smoke has been scene for the past hour and a half in Southwest Lubbock. We'll have more updates as this story develops.
