The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office is asking for help from citizens in determining additional information about a fire that took place on Tuesday, August 19, in West Lubbock.

The fire burned down a townhome located on 27th Street and York Avenue and is currently being investigated as an arson.

According to Lubbock Fire Rescue's Facebook page, the fire was extinguished within 20 minutes and one individual was transported to a local hospital with burn injuries. Hours later the page was updated to indicate that possible arson would be investigated.

The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office is asking anyone with videos, photos or information pertaining to this incident to call the Lubbock Crime Line at 741-1000.
