A notable independent film producer will speak at Texas Tech this week.

Rebekah Tolley will speak as part of the Vietnam Center and Archive guest lecture series.

Tolley will speak at the International Cultural Center, located at Fourth Street and Indiana Avenue, at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 6th.

She has produced works for major international outlets such as the BBC, and produced the feature documentary, “We Went to War” as a follow up to documentarian Michael Grigsby’s 1970 award-winning film “I Was a Soldier,” which focused on three young Texans trying to adjust to life after their service in the Vietnam War.

Tolley’s film followed up on the with the stories of those same veterans.

Admission is free and open to the public.

This is the first event in the series of distinguished speakers hosted by the Vietnam Center and Archive for the year.
