It’s an annual event to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  Firefighters, current and retired, will be at five locations for three days, boots in hand, to take your donations.

“We’re going to try to raise $100,000,” said firefighter Daniel Garvin.  “We nearly got there last year, even though we  had some horrendous weather.  We made $83,000 last year. The money always stays local.”

The firefighters will be at these intersections: Slide and the Loop, 50th & Indiana, University and the Loop, and the Marsha Sharp Freeway at Quaker. And they will be at the Target store at Marsha Sharp Freeway and Milwaukee.
