Filing for Party Primaries Now Open

The filing period for candidates to get their name on their party’s ballot in the primaries is now open.

Candidates can file for office in the 2012 Republican and Democrat Primary elections through 6 p.m. December 15^th. The Primary for both parties will be held Tuesday, March 6^th, 2012.

Lubbock County Republican Party Headquarters will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and until 6 p.m. on December 15^th. Their office is located at 1001 Main Street, Suite 706, and they can be reached by phone at 797-3197.

The Lubbock County Democratic Headquarters will be open weekdays from 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Their office is located at 2809 74^th Street, and their phone number is 749-8683.
