Producers who wish a briefing on the details of the recently passed Farm Bill have an opportunity to learn more about the legislation and how it impacts their business.

The Southwest Council of Agribusiness will host a series of meetings this week related to the new farm bill. Presenters are Joe Outlaw, co-director of the Agriculture and Food Policy Center, and Tom Sell, a partner at Combest, Sell & Associates.

The first meeting will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, March 19 in Lamesa, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Forrest Park Community Building, 814 S. Houston (lunch provided).

On Thursday, March 20th, the meeting will be held here in Lubbock, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Plains Cotton Cooperative Association Delegate Body Room, 3301 E. 50th St. (enter through west doors, lunch provided.

On Friday, Friday, March 21st, the meeting will be held in Amarillo, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Amarillo Civic Center Regency Room B, 401 S. Buchanan St.

The meetings are co-sponsored by the Agricultural Food and Policy Center and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.
