Elementary School Custodian Jailed for Sexual Assault of an Adult

A custodian at an area elementary school has been charged with sexually assaulting an adult.

55-year-old Marcelo Leonardo Salas was arrested on Friday, April 20^th, and has been charged with sexual assault of an adult, two counts of assault, and one count of disorderly conduct.

Salas was a custodian at Crestview Elementary School. Frenship ISD has since fired Salas for his actions against other staff members.

Authorities have found that Salas was in the United States illegally. He was a Cuban refugee, and Salas’ work visa expired six years ago.
