Tuesday on KFYO Mornings the president of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Eddie McBride joined Matt Martin and Matt Crow to talk about the Chamber's upcoming events and the success of the recent Business Expo.

Coming up on March 6th the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Diversity Summit. "It's like a workplace training effort," Eddie explained, going on to say, "We've gone into the workplace environment where we're trying to improve the workplace and celebrate diversity." The goal of the Diversity Summit is to enhance working conditions and relations and celebrate diversity in race, gender, and more.

Eddie also spoke on the Chamber's support of the abandonment of the Texas Tech Coliseum and Auditorium, saying, "We support 100% not wasting any more tax dollars." He hopes that Lubbock can build a new exposition center that could hold dirt and ice events that would promote more ranching style events to come to Lubbock.

The Chamber is also holding a "Business After Hours" event at the Happy State Bank on February 22nd at 5:30, on March 20th they are holding a luncheon, and on April 27th they are holding an uncorked wine event.
