Gallivan has held the title of Ector County DA for one term since August 2014 and served Ector County as an assistant district attorney for two years prior to that.

Gallivan won his first election from a divided commissioner’s court, beating out another ADA and a former county attorney. He won 3-1 with one abstention, reports the Odessa American. http://www.oaoa.com/news/article_1546c3ba-18c8-11e4-ab9a-0017a43b2370.html

Gallivan previously served in the United States Airforce from 1989-1993 and practiced law in the Midland/Odessa area from 1999-2012 before joining Ector County.

"Serving the members of our community is important to me. I’m excited to be a part of a system that strives to continually provide each and every one of us a safer place to live,” said Gallivan on his official website.
