Yet another drug bust has been made along Interstate 40 in the Texas Panhandle.

A Texas DPS trooper stopped a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox heading eastbound on I-40 near Conway in Carson County.

The stop was made just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 11th.

During a search of the vehicle, the trooper discovered eight bundles of cocaine hidden in a compartment of the vehicle.

The search yielded more than eight pounds of cocaine valued at more than $253,000.

The driver of the vehicle, 36-year-old Joel Gonzalez-Camaro, of Culican, Mexico, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Carson County Jail.

The drugs were reportedly being transported from Phoenix, Arizona to Columbus, Ohio.
