Adult influenza vaccine is available at the Lubbock Health Department.

The vaccine will be available for those aged 18 and older beginning on Wednesday, September 4th.

The cost of the vaccine is $10 per dose.

Those who are not able to take the vaccine are those under age 18, those with a history of allergic reaction to a previous dose of influenza vaccine, those with severe egg allergies, and those who have already received a dose of seasonal flu vaccine for this flu season.

You can call 775-2914 for a listing of clinic locations and times.

The Health Department will also hold an adult drive-thru flu clinic on Tuesday, September 10th from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The drive-thru clinic will be held in the parking lot on Crickets Avenue between 17th and 18th Streets, just east of the Health Department.

The cost is $10 per person, and they will accept cash or credit cards only.

To access the clinic, you must take 19th Street to Crickets Avenue, head north on Crickets Avenue, and turn right into the parking lot just past 18th street.

Other routes will be barricaded or blocked by Lubbock Police.

Everyone must be in a vehicle to receive the flu vaccine, as no walk ups will be accepted.
