Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, Drew Landry (D) joined Chad in the KFYO studio to discuss issues in his challenge for the District 83 House seat held by Representative Dustin Burrows (R).

Landry and Hasty discussed several issues, including the areas of most concern in the race, and his experiences running as a Democrat in conservative-leaning west Texas.

After being asked by Hasty about the current trends and changes in the Democratic Party, Landry talked about his beliefs and how they tend to differ from the leftward-moving, loud-spoken factions that have recently surfaced, Landry said:

I have always viewed myself as more of a 'blue dog Democrat', more of the moderate wing...How much longer will people of my persuasion in the [Democratic] party last, I don't know.
