Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Dr. John Key, candidate for U.S. Representative of District 19, joined Chad in the KFYO studio to talk about his campaign, and why he would like to be the representative who replaces the seat being vacated by Randy Neugebauer.

Key is a long time resident of the South Plains, as well as a businessman, a veterinarian, and retired U.S. Army Colonel.

Hasty and Key discussed many topics including subsidies, illegal immigration, border security and 'sanctuary cities', health care, and foreign policy.

While discussing federal subsidies with Hasty, Key said, "Wind energy is very, very important to this whole district. We have a huge amount of wind farms, from Abernathy, south and over to Sweetwater, and all over the area here. It's one of the biggest areas and big potential here. I think we've got to protect wind energy."

Answering Hasty's question about his overall philosophy on using the U.S. military, Key responded,

We want a strong military and a strong world presence that recognizes and respects America, which seems to be what we've lost.
