On the Thursday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, state representative candidate Dr. Donald May talked with Chad Hasty about his campaign for the House of Representatives.

May is facing off against incumbent Congressman Randy Neugebauer for the 19th Congressiojnal District seat. May said that, in comparison to Neugebauer, he promises to be more hands-on and active in the legislature, and write bills as opposed to just voting on them. He added that he is going to Congress not to be an important person, but to do an important work.

"I'm going to hit the floor running...You're going to see me on the floor, hopefully from Day 1, at least from Week 1. You're going to see a continuous stream of bills come out, and you're going to see me in front of the news every day, and you're going to get a report from my office 365 days a year."

May went on to say that there is a big problem with Republican cowardice, and that conservatives need to start taking actual action instead of just talking big.

May also talked about agriculture, which he believes is a huge issue for the 19th Congressional District. He said that, among other things, farmers need a good insurance program for their crops without steep taxes interfering. He also talked about the serious reforms needed in the food stamp program as well.
