The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Texas Ranger Unsolved Crimes Investigation Team are asking for the public’s help in solving an unsolved murder case.

As part of a new public awareness program, each month DPS will release one unsolved case to the public as a way to streamline new investigative leads and bring attention to cold cases across the state.

This month, the focus is on the 2013 murder of 13 year old Hailey Dunn of Colorado City.

Hailey was last seen on December 27, 2013 leaving her mom’s house to go to a friend’s.

She would never arrive.

Nearly three months later on March 16, her body was discovered near lake J.B. Thomas.

Anyone with information about this unsolved case can also submit a tip thru the Texas Rangers’ Cold Case website or contact the Missing Persons Clearinghouse at 1-800-346-3243.
