Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show, Don Parrish, candidate for Representative of the 19th Congressional District joined Chad in the KFYO studio to talk about issues and his campaign for the office.

Parrish and Hasty discussed many topics including agriculture legislation and China's control of the cotton market, the economy, and abortion.

When asked by Hasty about his position on shutting down the government if required to ensure unwanted legislation is not passed along with non-related bills, Parrish said,

I think it's a terrible tactic, and that's what I said earlier about, in the farming industry, we have to follow the law of nature, I mean, timing is everything. And so that's why the new Speaker said he would get us back to regular order, and I think that's a huge part of it. We need to not get to the point that we have to think about shutting down the government. That's just going to cause more strife between the two parties.
