Do You Live Paycheck to Paycheck? — Survey of the Day

Thanks to the great recession more folks are living paycheck to paycheck than they were in rosier economic times.
However, according to a survey of 3800 workers by Career Builder, the percentage that need their next payday to pay their financial obligations is down a bit this year
The poll found that 40 percent of Americans are relying on their next paycheck to make ends meet. That’s down from 42 percent last year and 46 percent in 2008.
Women are more likely than men to live paycheck to paycheck. Forty-four percent of the poll’s female respondents indicated that that’s how their finances work, whereas only 36 percent of the males did.
