Gary Zheng was fired from his position as CEO of Lubbock Power and Light Yesterday in a unanimous vote by the Electric Utility Board. Zheng was officially fired without cause after being placed on paid leave in May. The EUB then voted on Zheng's severance package which will total about $700,000. Only Charlie Dunn voted against the package. Dunn voted against because the package had no "claw-back" provision meaning that if Zheng is found to have done something wrong or illegal, LP&L can't get the money back.
