On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock's First News on KFYO, Registered Dietician Jennifer Gorman came by the studio to discuss the 98th United Anniversary sale, and shine a light on produce grown and produced right here in Texas.

Jennifer Gorman brought a number of tasty foods by the studio today. Amongst these was a great, healthy, and simple snack or appetizer made by combining a piece of mozzarella cheese and a slice of tomato with a fresh, organic basil leaf covered in a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

Not only is this a nutritious snack, but all of the components (excluding the vinaigrette) came from Texas and are on sale at United Supermarkets. In fact, the mozzarella is produced here in Lubbock at United Market Street. "We make it in house, every day, as fresh as can be," Gorman explained.

United Supermarkets will soon be celebrating their 98th Anniversary, and to help spread the joy, are offering a number of great sales. Starting today, July 30th, United Supermarkets will be offering a buy-one-get-one-free New York strip steak deal. This is only one of the great offerings going on at United right now.

For more information, including details on current sales, check out the United Supermarkets website here.
