Did the County Commissioners Make the Right Decision to Ban Fireworks? [POLL]
Lubbock County Commissioners met on Monday and banned the sale and use of fireworks in Lubbock County. The move officially canceled fireworks shows across the county. In my opinion, it was the right move. I, like many of you, enjoy fireworks and firework shows but we have to be smart about this. Setting off fireworks could start a wildfire somewhere in the county. It’s not worth it this year. The risk of starting wildfires is too great and when you can take steps to prevent wildfires from happening, you take those steps.
