On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock's First News with Tom Collins and Laura Mac, retired fireman Dennis Howard joined Tom and Laura to talk about how to keep you and your family prepared in case of disaster. Dennis gives lots of information, and talks about the upcoming Preparedness Fair in Lubbock.

Howard provided lots of information, and stressed the importance of keeping water available for your family, how much to keep on hand, and how to keep it pure, fresh and safe.

According to FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Administration, you need one gallon of water, per person, per day, minimum. Now, I like recommend to double that to two gallons.

The Preparedness Fair will be held this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 7014 Frankford Ave.
