State Senator Dan Patrick will face incumbent Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst in the May 27th runoff election. Patrick finished ahead in the vote count on election day, but Dewhurst is confidant that he can win. Todd Staples and Jerry Patterson who both ran unsuccessful campaigns have not endorsed a candidate yet, and Staples has indicated that he won't endorse anyone.
