Thursday on Lubbock's First News, Tammy Flanary gave details on the upcoming Dangerous Dan memorial benefit concert.

Danny Earnest was best known around Lubbock as blues musician Dangerous Dan. He was found deceased in September; he is believed to have passed due to natural causes. Tammy Flanary, Earnest's long time girlfriend was recently diagnosed with a form of blood cancer. The memorial concert proceeds will help pay for her medical treatments. Flanary talked about how she and Earnest met. She remembered, "I went to go see him play and we were together from there." The two were in a relationship for nearly 17 years.

The event will be held Sunday, December 8 from 3 p.m. to midnight at the SoundStage Lounge1925 Buddy Holly Avenue. Many musicians will play at the concert. Cover will be a $10 donation. There will also be food, a raffle, and a silent auction.
