James Nesmith, administrative manager of Science Spectrum, joined Lubbock's First News to talk Critterfest.

The annual Lubbock animal event begins today (Thursday, June 25) at 10 a.m. and goes through Sunday (June 28).

This year's Critterfest will boast a couple hundred different animals, including the largest elephant, butterfly display, a wide variety of snakes, lizards, tortoises, tigers, petting zoo animals like camels, zebras and even a new baby kangaroo.

"The Science Spectrum is home to the only public aquarium exhibition in Lubbock," said Nesmith.
