Craig James Dismissed from FOX Sports Southwest Studio Analyst Position

Late Sunday night, Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch broke the story that Craig James had been dismissed from his college football studio analyst position at FOX Sports Southwest after only one appearance.

The hiring of James was announced by FOXSSW late last week.  According to Deitsch's story, FOXSSW officials had not fully cleared the hiring with FOX Sports executives.

James had worked as a college football studio and game analyst for ESPN for a number of years before launching a failed bid for U.S. Senate in late 2011.
