Country Music Hall of Famer Charley Pride has been scheduled to perform at the 2013 Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball.

The ball is sponsored by the Texas State Society of Washington D.C. and will take place Saturday, January 19th at the Gaylord National Resort in Washington D.C. It is expected to draw more than 15,000 guests. Other performers will include Radney Foster and Asleep At The Wheel.

Regarding his upcoming performance Pride said, “I am pleased and honored to be a part of this event that celebrates President Obama and the start of his second term in office—it’s truly wonderful to be asked to perform,” and “The Texas State Society knows how to throw a great party, so I’m looking forward to a very memorable evening.”

This will be the second time Pride has performed in an inauguration-related event as he performed during a Capital Centre gala for President Ronald Regan’s 1981 inauguration.

Pride has 20 tour dates for the 2013 year, but none of them are in Texas.
