On Monday's edition of Lubbock's First News, mayor pro temp and councilwoman for District 5 Karen Gibson talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about some of the concerns with the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance (LEDA).

Gibson was asked to give her thoughts on the salaries and car allowances some members of LEDA receive. She was also asked her opinion on LEDA allegedly using "tax dollars to pick winners and losers," as well as her thoughts on the Lubbock Music Festival possibly bidding on a program director for next year.

Gibson was out of town at the time of the interview, and seemed to not be aware of many of the issues that were brought up. However, concerning LEDA, Gibson did say that it was important that the council take a look at the structure of LEDA as whole, and not nitpick on just one or two things.
