On Friday's edition of Lubbock's First News, councilman Paul R. Beane joined Chad and Rex in studio to discuss what happened at yesterday's city council meeting.

Concerning Proposition 2, Beane says he voted for that particular amendment, but voted against the move for the Lubbock City Council to endorse it. Beane said he did not want to use the power of the City Council to tell the people of Lubbock how to vote.

Beane also talked about the Health Department and said the current building is roughly 54% vacant and "living on borrowed time."  He mentioned the city may have their eye on another building for the Health Department, but talks are still ongoing.
