Councilman Paul Beane Talks About Goals for a Second Term

First-term city councilman Paul Beane faces Jim Gerlt in a run-off. On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, Beane was asked about what he hopes to do if he is re-elected.
“Number one, we have got to bring our Lubbock police department to full strength. We’ve accomplished that with the fire department. And it’s not an easy task. And that’s number one. As for District 4 alone, we’ve got to continue our street projects. In four years, we’ve spent $26½ million on Lubbock streets in District 4 alone, and that needs to continue.
Early voting begins Monday (June 11).
