Coronado High School Student Named National Merit Scholar
A Coronado High School senior was among over 2,500 winners of National Merit Scholarships from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Following his graduation from Coronado, Matthew Hansen will continue his education at Texas Tech University. He plans to major in chemical engineering. The scholarship he won will provide $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.
Approximately 8,300 high school seniors this year will receive National Merit Scholarships for college education.
